Pirelli Powergy 2 is the successor to the original Powergy, aimed at everyday summer use with efficiency as the headline improvement.
The launch alert highlights reduced rolling resistance, EU label class B for rolling resistance across launch sizes, improved tread life compared with the previous model, and wet grip and noise ratings that vary by size.
This positions Powergy 2 below Pirelli’s sportier P Zero family. It is not a track or UHP tyre; the useful comparison set is made up of efficient touring tyres and value-oriented premium alternatives for compact, mid-size and urban vehicles.
On Tirelab, Powergy 2 has been added as an upper-middle summer tyre. It already has a model summary and rivals mapped, while independent test data will decide whether the efficiency promise is matched by competitive wet braking and handling.
